The Czech Republic has proposed that other EU member states reduce the proposed gas price ceiling from €275 per MWh to €188.

The market adjustment mechanism is triggered if the prices of contracts for a month and a year ahead on the TTF index exceed €188 per MWh within 3 days.

In this case, the price must be 35 euros higher than the average price for LNG.
