Filecoin Foundation plans to create file storage in space
The Filecoin Foundation has announced a new joint project with Lockheed Martin. Its goal is to launch and test a decentralised network storage based on the IPFS protocol in space.
The first phase will be a test one. The experiment will take place on board the LM 400 satellite. The main goal of this phase is to test the viability of the project and establish the degree of reliability of Earth-space connectivity via IPFS.
