Gazprom is studying the possibility of expanding the LNG plant near the Portovaya station from 1.5 million tons per year to 3.5 million tons per year.

The project is planned to be implemented jointly with Ruskhimalliance. The project has the necessary infrastructure, so the increase in capital costs is not expected to be significant.

At the same time, Gazprom has no access to the foreign equipment needed for the expansion. And domestic gas compressors are not able to provide the required capacity at the plant. Now the company is looking for ways to solve this problem.
