It's official: U.S. to ease some sanctions against Venezuela
The U.S. Treasury Department issued a general license that allows the oil company Chevron to begin negotiations with the Venezuelan government on future activities in the country.
Oil from Venezuela will "trickle" into the market. A significant increase in supply could have a negative impact on pricing and, consequently, on revenues of other exporting countries.
