Rivian's executive in charge of production engineering is leaving the company, - Yahoo!

Rivian Automotive announced that Charlie Mwangi will leave the company. He helped Rivian get the electric car manufacturing process up and running.

Mwangi, a former Tesla Inc. executive, has served as executive vice president at Rivian since May 2020. He launched the R1T pickup truck and the R1S SUV in late 2021.

The Amazon-backed company, which previously scaled back its 2022 production plan, is confident that restructuring its operating group will strengthen Rivian's ability to deepen relationships with commercial partners.
