Stopping Russian gas supplies to Germany will lead to the collapse of the world's largest chemical company - WSJ
The German chemical company BASF SE worked for many years on cheap Russian gas. Now one of the largest chemical complexes in the world is forced to reconsider its business model.
The goods produced at a chemical plant start the production cycle of many industrial chains. If BASF fails to resolve the gas issue, the threat of a crisis in the EU will grow exponentially, writes WSJ.
"In the short to medium term, BASF will continue to need gas. There really is no way around it," BASF investors.
