The Central Bank of Ireland commented on the recent MiCA bill. They issued a press release on their website from Gabriel McLough, the head of the agency. He believes Bitcoin is a Ponzi scheme and a lottery, not an investment.

"Such a purchase can be like buying a lottery ticket: you can win, but you're unlikely to win. And to call it an 'investment' is certainly the wrong word. "Ponzi schemes" is a more accurate definition," says the official.
