The country's largest digital companies don't want to create a fund of material compensation for users who were victims of personal data leaks

The IT industry is convinced that it would be more appropriate to invest in audits of information systems in order to minimize the risk of leaks.

The problem with data theft in Russia is acute: according to InfoWatch, 305 databases were compromised in the first half of the year, 45.9% more than during the same period in 2021.
