A decline in Norwegian gas supplies as a result of major field shutdowns for repairs reduced gas injections into Europe's underground gas storage facilities. During the gas day on June 8, the level of reserves in UGS increased by only 0.26 percentage points, which is the lowest value since late April.

Reserves currently stand at 50.76 percent, according to Gas Infrastructure Europe. The current level of reserves in Europe is 2.12 percentage points behind the five-year average.
