'Blessing through cryptocurrency': US couple accused of $6m scam
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has accused a married couple from Tennessee of creating a fraudulent scheme involving cryptocurrencies.
Michael and Amanda Griffis, owners of a real estate company in Clarksville, offered clients to invest in a pool called "God's Blessing Through Cryptocurrency."
Between July 2022 and January 2023, more than 100 people were affected by the scammers. These included mortgage brokers and Griffiths' real estate clients.
